Clicker training is a method based on behavioral science, using positive reinforcement and a clear marker signal to tell your horse when he has performed correctly. As your requests become clear to your horse, and he begins to earn a paycheck for his efforts, he becomes a very enthusiastic student!

I have used clicker training piggy-backed onto other training methods since 2001. Following the techniques as taught by Alexandra Kurland, my horses and I have reached levels of partnership that I had only been able to dream of. I have been to many clinics with Alex, with my big horses and my miniatures. Alex has a true gift for teaching, both horses and humans.

In 2003 and 2004, I attended week-long workshops with equine clicker trainers from around the world. It has been a tremendous experience and a journey of discovery for me. I was asked to demonstrate to the international audience how I have incorporated clicker training into the John Lyons method of training for my horses.
